Explain at least three steps that are necessary to avoid another Holocaust and why these

steps were not taken or available to avoid the first Holocaust.

3. Actively help the situation. It is sad, but genocide is nothing new to history and continues to be
a threat to this very day. Many nations capable of helping often do not or wait until it is too late.
Circumstances may change, but in many cases the victims are often poor, isolated, and/or victims
of persecution. In the case of the Holocaust, there were opportunities to limit the Jewish
casualties after obtaining definite information. Both the United States and Britain had
information regarding the Auschwitz concentration camp, but neither took action to bomb the
railways that carried the Jewish people to the camp. Why they did not take action is up in the air
with some questioning the effectiveness and safety, while others question how much they
actually cared.
