1) Do you think an organization of many nations can prevent world war?
ANS: I dont think an organization of many wars can prevent a war because
countries can try to help others with their urge for war. The organization of many
nations can help prevent a further conflict by dealing with the situation in other
ways, and not just war.
2) Why do you think the nations that founded the UN believed that they needed
the Universal Declaration of Human Rights at the end of World War 2?
ANS: The nations that founded the UN believed that they needed the Universal
Declaration of Human Rights because of the crimes that were committed during
WW2. One example is in Germany with the Nazis who were creating propaganda
against Jews who were said to be the enemy. The Universal Declaration of Human
Rights believed that everyone was entitled to their own rights, and in Nazi Germany
the Jews were targeted because there was a minority of them in Europe.
3) Which of these rights do you think is most important? Why?
ANS: I think that Article #2 is the most important article because it promotes rights
to anyone and is doesnt disregard them due to their skin color, race, or religion.
The second article entitles anyone from any nation and allows them to all rights and
freedoms despite the fact that they are different from everyone else. I believe that
is more important because everyone should have equal rights no matter who they
are.
