BIOGRAPHY CONTINUED
When creating Concept Art for different games and companies, I think
that she manages to make all of her work have its own required style
for the games, but she also manages to make her work look
recognisable as being hers.
For example, I think that her work for Ubisoft has a more old
fashioned, style, but her work for Far Cry game has more modern and
futuristic colours and style.
Although the Concept Art that she has produced is created purely for
games, I think that she manages to make her work have its own
artistic value by giving it the same high quality as a flat piece of
artwork.
With this being said, I also think that she tries to use the same artistic
techniques as she would use when creating a flat piece of art, such as
different brush techniques when painting.

EXAMPLES OF HER RANGES OF WORK

WHAT I THINK ABOUT HER WORK

I admire the fact that her work looks hyper realistic, but also has idealised features
involved in making her work stand out, such as the reoccurring theme of mist and
sunlight in the atmospheres of her work.
I also like the fact that she displays a wide variety of settings within her work, which
involve using interior and exterior examples, and that her work all seems to revolve
around using large scaled cities and landscapes.
What I think is interesting about her work is that she always uses bold examples of light
and dark sources and still being mindful of the atmosphere.
Most importantly, I love that she uses both people and environments in her concept art. I
think that by doing this she is portraying her work as being adaptable and flexible in
accordance with what her clients would require. It also means that she is able to blend in
her characters with her settings to make her work look more authentic and professional.

WHY I CHOSE TO USE HER WORK AS

INSPIRATION FOR THE PROJECT
I immediately thought to use her work to take when I saw that she prominently draws cities
and interior and exterior displays of them. I thought that she would be perfect to take
inspiration from because her work is perfect for reference to the required tasks for this
project.
I also wanted to choose her work because of how high the quality of it was and how realistic it
looked, so that I would be able to create my own work in a realisitc manner but consider
decorating it with the same details that she does.
I would also like to use the same selections of colours that she uses in her individual works. I
think that this will make my three works relate to one another, but they will also all have an
interesting feature about them that makes them stand out. For example, I may want to use a
selection of darker colours for the interior work, but use lighter colours for the exterior work.
