Projectile Loom

Projectile loom is a shuttle less loom. It is used widely in fabric production. By this projectile loom,
filling of yarn is done by using a small metal device resembling a bullet in appearance with clamp for
gripping the yarn at one end, which is then propelled into and through the shed. In this projectile
loom machine, the we insertion is carried out by a small clamp projectiles, which number is
depends on the weaving fabric width and which with their grippers take out the we yarn from big
cross wound bobbins and insert into the shed and always in the same direction. Projectile loom has a
high speed production tan the rapier loom.
Dierent Parts Of A Projectile Weaving Machine: Projectile loom is consist of dierent parts which
facilities the weaving process. To make smooth the process one should know about the dierent parts
of projectile weaving machine. Here, I have mentioned the dierent parts of projectile loom. They
are-

8. Oil break.
The engineer must have knowledge about the functions of dierent parts of projectile loom. I will
write about the working mechanism of projectile loom in the next.
