2) Aim ; To study the effects of vigorous exercise on the breathing and heartbeat rates. 2) Problem statement What is the effects of vigorous exercise on the breathing and heartbeat rates? 3) Hypothesis: Vigorous exercise increases the breathing and heartbeat rates. 4) Variables: a. Manipulated variable - Resting or vigorous exercise b. Responding variable - Breathing rate and heartbeat rate c. Fixed variable - Duration of exercise 5) Apparatus : Stopwatch 6) Technique : Counting and recording the number of breaths per minute and the number of heartbeats per minute. 7) Procedure : a. Two person of the same gender and the same age with same physical size are prepared labelled as person A and person B. Person Bis let to run ata place for one minute. b. As the one minute finished, the stopwatch is started immediately and both person started to count their heartbeat for one minute. The heartbeat for each person is recorded. c. Foranother one minute, both person counted their breathing rate.
