1) Draw a picture or a diagram of the heart and the lungs. Be sure to label the following:
- Right & left lungs
- Pulmonary arteries & veins
- Pulmonary trunk
- Right & left ventricles
- Right & left atria
- Right & left atrioventricular valves
- Pulmonary & aorta semilunar valves
- Aorta: ascending, arch, & descending
- Superior & inferior vena cava
2) Diagram or list how blood flows throughout the heart and lungs. Begin with blood entering
the heart and end with the blood leaving the heart to go to the body. Also try to color your
diagram/list (red for oxygenated blood; blue for deoxygenated blood).
