The results obtained by my survey suggest that people aged 12-17 of both genders enjoy mystery
films so I will target them as my target audience. I will cater to this demographic by making my film
more jovial than most other films in the genre by not using features that would earn my trailer a
rating which would limit my target audiences access to it.
The people in my survey also said they would prefer a cosy mystery or a caper mystery to a
traditional murder mystery so I will reflect that in my trailer. The people surveyed also prefer a focus
on dialogue to a focus on action so this will be reflected in my trailer by giving dialogue more screen
time than action.
The people surveyed tend to be either working class or middle class so I will try and cater to people
in those groups by content and characters relatable to people in those groups. The group surveyed

are mostly British so I can aim to appeal to British sensibilities and use a cultural registry familiar to
the British.
