I am going to choose the 2nd Amendment Right to bear arms.

The Purpose of the

Chosen amendment is that is it such a big issue in the U.S today that we are
constantly talking about it and discussing it. I believe that it impacts the average
citizen highly because they are looked down upon if they express there right to
bear arms and possibly taken to jail because most states have you go through a
class and get a hand gun permit to carry your firearm which I believe goes against
the 2nd amendment right to bear arms. I also think since that it is our chose to bear
arms or not then we shouldnt have to worry about what classes and license we
have to poses to obey our right. The government shouldnt be trying to limit the 2nd
amendment right like they are. Across the country, a thriving dissatisfaction with
the U.S. government is prompting a growing spate of bills in state legislatures
aimed at defying federal control over firearms - more than 200 during the last
decade, a News21 investigation found. Particularly in Western and Southern states,
where individual liberty intersects with increasing skepticism among gun owners,
firearms are a political vehicle in efforts to ensure states rights and void U.S. gun
laws within their borders. State legislators are attempting to declare that only they
have the right to interpret the Second Amendment, a movement that recalls the
anti-federal spirit of the Civil War and civil-rights eras. (Washington post, 2014)
Here are numerous examples of the Government trying to limit the 2nd amendment
right and now states are fighting back and developing their own bills and laws to

nullify the federal gun rights law. Which I think is going to get worse and worse as
time goes on if they keep trying to take our guns and rights away. We Americans
have to stop this some way somehow. States frustrated by federal overreach have
been taking action to nullify laws coming from Washington, D.C. but the efforts
may prove futile given long-standing court precedents dictating that states can't
overturn federal law. The federal actions under fire range from Obamacare and gun
control laws to a controversial detention measure contained in a defense
authorization bill. (News-max, 2014) The reason why I believe that this is the
most important bill in the amendments is because it is the most controversial bill
that is being limited so badly today that its not even funny on how the government
is trying to ban AR-15s and other semi auto weapons because they think they are
the ones causing the most deaths and shootings in the U.S today which they only
account for 15 percent of the shootings, Hand guns are the most widely used gun in
shootings. Also people think the AR in AR-15 means automatic rifle. It dont it
stands for the manufacture that designed the AR-15 which is Armalite corporation.
And the AR comes from the word Armalite. Not assault rifle or Automatic Rifle.
