Marketing Objective
Our marketing objective is to provide motorcycle services to those people who need their
motorcycle to be repair or service everywhere (Masai-Pasir Gudang-JB) or whenever they are
with at an affordable price. The idea comes from demand of people in Bandar Seri Alam that
want to find a place that they can send their motorcycle to service or repair with more cheaper
price than other shop in Pasir Gudang. Besides, people in Bandar Seri Alam do not have to go to
nearest town, Masai to service or repair their motorcycle.

Product Description
In Malaysia, automotive sector offer a lot of opportunities to people who want do
business. It can be cars, motorcycles, lorries or vans. Running Motor operates at No.27 Jalan
Suria 67, Bandar Seri Alam, 81750 Masai Johor.
Our business is about providing motorcycle services or repair. We will make sure our
price including parts is the lowest among other shop in Pasir Gudang for the first year. We also
give a special rate for a student (school/university) because most of the students do not have
income.
Besides that, we also are selling parts and accessories for motorcycle. Customers can
walk in to our shop or just make an online purchase from our facebook page.

We used the SWOT analysis to identify our strengths, weaknesses, opportunity and threats.

The residential in Bandar Seri Alam are mostly students and workers. Most of them
use motorcycle as a transport to go to work, school or university.

2. Income
RM 800 and above
Most of the workers in this area have an monthly income around RM800 and above.
Students (school/university) do not have income but surely their parents will give
them some amount of money for their spending.

3. Ethnic Background
Malay, Chinese, Indian
In Bandar Seri Alam, there are multi-ethnic background. There are many Malay and
Chinese ethnic but fewer are Indian.

Market Size
Market size refers to the total potential purchase of the target market.
According to the Department of Statistic Malaysia, the number of population in Masai in 2010 is
approximately 223,548 peoples. We estimated, in 2014 there are 250,000 peoples in Masai.

People who own a motorcycle in Masai :


= 56%
= 250,000 X 56%
= 140,000 peoples

= 1,400 peoples

Hence, the potential customer would be at least 1,400 peoples for the first
year and we expected will be increase per year.

Market strategy is the necessary part to compete with the competitors that are already
available in the market and to achieve the business goal. The entrepreneur also can determine
how far to extend into a competitors sphere by using marketing strategies.
In order to achieve the sales forecast, the entrepreneur must develop appropriate
marketing strategies to generate sales from the target market. Our company have several ways to
compete our competitors:

1. Product Strategies
Our motto is You call, we fix which means customer can make a call so that we can
come to their place and repair their motorcycle. That is the uniqueness of our company
which is not have on our competitors.
2. Price Strategies
We are giving a special discount about 5% for a student. Furthermore, we will make sure
our price is the lowest among our competitors.
3. Promotion Strategies
As a new business in market, we must aggressively promote our product to make sure
that everybody were informed and noticed about Running Motor existence and also to
against our competitors. We use banner to give information to the customers about our
location. Besides, we also advertised our services, accessories and parts in social network
such as facebook. Furthermore, we use the social network as our direct marketing to
solve and answer their uncertainty question in order to satisfy our customer wants and
needs. We also provide business card for any inquiries.
