It has been brought to my attention that Norfolk ‘Southern may have an interest in selling the land they own in New Market TN (site of the proposed Intermodal Facility). We believe that this site is an attractive area to try and develop into an Industrial Park. {As the spokesman for the Jefferson County IDB it is my intent to contact you to determine if Norfolk Southern may have an interest in selling the main 270-acre tract initially planned for the Intermodal facility. We would love an opportunity to sit down with you or your representatives at the earliest possible date to discuss this in greater detail f there is any interest on the part of Norfolk Southern in discussing a land transaction in the immediate future. If selling is not of interest to your organization, we would be interested in partnering with you to develop and market this site to an extent that would be beneficial to both parties.
