Upgrade Procedure:
1. Save file to the PC where the card is installed and unzip the file (record th
e path of the
files, i.e. C:\Utility-Driver_TEW-421_423_v130b5).
2. Before installing the new driver you will need to completely uninstall the pr
evious utility
and driver. If this is a new installation (the computer does not have the old dr
iver/utility),
please go to Step 9.
3. On your PC click on Start, Programs, 802.11 Wireless LAN, 802.11g Wireless Ca
rdBus & PCI
Adapter HW.21 V1.10, and click "Uninstall".
4. Follow the steps on the screen to remove the utility.
5. Next, you will need to remove the driver. Go to Start, Settings, Control Pan
el, and
Double-click on "System".
6. In the Systems Properties, click on "Hardware", click on "Device Manager", an
d double-click
on "Network Adapters".
7. If you see "IEEE 802.11g Wireless CardBus/PCI Adapter" under "network adapte
rs", right click
on the adapter then click on "uninstall".
8. After the wireless adapter is uninstalled, power off your PC, remove wireless
adapter, and
then power on your PC.
9. Once the PC is booted back up, open up the folder with the new driver/utility
(C:\Driver_Util_TEW-421_423_v130b5),double-click on the folder "Utility" then ru
n (double-click)
the Setup.exe file. Follow the instructions on the screen.
10. After the utility installation, please power off your PC.
11. Once the PC is powered off, insert the adapter to an available PCI (for TEW423PI) or
PCMCIA (for TEW-421PC) slot, then power on the PC.
12. After the PC is booted up, the "New Hardware Wizard" will appear. Select to

let Windows
automatically finds the driver and follow the instructions on the screen to inst
all the driver.
At "Windows Logo" message, click "continue anyway".
13. If the Windows could not find the driver, click "back" to the "New Hardware
Wizard" "search
for driver" screen, select "Install from a list or specific location" then click
"Next".
14. Select "search for the best driver in this location" and then check the box
next to
"include this location in the search."
15. Click on "browse" and locate and click on the folder "Driver_Util_TEW-421_42
3_V130b5",
click on the "Drivers" folder, and then click on "Next".
16. If the Windows Logo message comes up during the installation process, click
on
"continue anyway."
17. The driver will continue to install and after the installation click on "Fin
ish".
