We are going to talk about the famous Chilean

singer, Americo.
Domingo Johnny Vega Urza known as Americo, was born on
december 24th, 1977 in Arica, chile. He is son of the singer Melvin
Americo and Leyla Urzua. He is the youngest of eight brothers and He
grew up surrounded by an artistic environment.
When he was 6 years old he started to sing and participate in many
regional festivals. 3 years later he recorded his first album called Para
mis Padres and his second album was recorded in his adolescence.
The band Alegra discovered Americo when he was presented his
album Tropicalmente Americo and they invited him to participate in
their band in 1995.
With this famous nacional band, Americo recorded 11 albums. Some of
them are El nuevo tropical, en vivo teatro monumental 1 y 2, somos
parte de tu vida and tu corazn nos pertenece. these albums won
gold and platinum disc.
In 2005 Americo formed the new band called Americo y la nueva
alegra. They travelled to Europe where they worked with famous artists
and musicians such La Sonora Licanray y Los Charros de Lumaco.
In 2008 he began his solo career with his greatest hits Asi es and
a morir. During 2009 Americo was known as the biggest musician
in the tropical movement.
In 2010 Americo participated in the quinta vergara stage in the
International Festival of Via del Mar.
In 2011 Americo edited his production Yo s and in 2013 Americo
de America with these albums he was on tour around all the
country and also in other places in the world.
During 2014 Americo performed new and importants international tours
and also he participated in some national TV shows.
Now Americo is married with Maria Teresa Ordenes and they have been
together during 18 years. They have a baby but Americo has a daughter
from his ex relationship.
