Dear School Administrator: ‘Thank you for considering my request for student teaching in your school. Currently, I am attending Dakota State University (DSU) and working towards my B.A in Secondary English Education. I plan to teach at the high school level, more specifically Juniors and Seniors. My philosophy of education, is that in which I feel puts the students first as well as puts them in the center of learning. I want my students to know that I care about them, and will do anything to keep them safe and let them know that they are heard. If there are students with disabilities in my classroom, I plan to differentiate my instruction to the best of my ability, so that they are able to understand the lesson and complete activities to their fullest potential. I plan to integrate as much technology as I can into my classroom, and use Summative and Formative Assessments throughout the schoo! year. Each one of my students is deserving of an education, and I will do anything to make sure they receive the best education possible. My classroom management plan will consist of an environment that is challenging and safe. A challenging classroom will not only encourage students to overcome their challenges but will motivate them to do so. I hope that my students and I can have a trusting relationship. I want to build a relationship that not only impacts them while they are in high school, but impacts them throughout their life.
