Free Video Training #2:

English Sounds
Now were really digging deep into the most important parts of English speech. The difference between voiced and
unvoiced consonant sounds is, in my opinion, THE most overlooked topic in English language classrooms
throughout the world. I will be very surprised if you learned any of this in school. Yet, knowing the difference
between voiced and unvoiced sounds is KEY to improving your clarity in English. Take good notes, and Happy
Speaking! -Heather

Unvoiced vs. Voiced Consonant Sounds

Plosives:
P, T, K
remember to add air a=er these sounds,

Vowel Length
A) For words ending in an unvoiced sound, the length of the vowel sound
coming before it is short and sharp.
B) For words ending in a voiced sound, the vowel coming before it is stretched
longer and the tone glides down.
