NARRATIVE
The story follows the character of Mike. Mike is relatively quiet, and introverted,
while remaining smart and independent. This helps to link in with the isolation
that will later be a part of the narrative.
Mike visits a (record store/car boot sale) and comes across a strange cassette.
After telling his curiosity takes over, he plays this mysterious and unsettling
cassette.
Once the cassette is played, Mike is transported to a reality that is imbued with a
dark energy, and this gives passage to an evil spirit to come and hunt him as the
cassette has identified him as the target.
Mike then wakes up in a forest somewhere alone and away from home, and has
to survive and fight his way home through tainted streets to stop the evil from its
source; the cassette.

[The twist at the end of the film is that the horror reality is one controlled by an
evil alter-ego of Mike. This can be hinted at by laughter throughout the trailer to
show that Mike is being toyed with]

OTHER DETAILS
I want the evil reality to have a different feel to the normal one. To do this, and to
link in with the aesthetics of the cassette, I want to incorporate slightly stranger
colours and overlay noise on the shots to give it all a lo-fi kind of tone. I will also
try to incorporate angles and camerawork that could be linked back to older
horror movies from the late 70s and 80s.
