VOTER
REGISTRATION
DEADLINES
Note: You will need proof of identity and residency
when registering to vote. If registering by mail, you
can submit a copy of each. Please call your town
clerks office for additional information.
Before Election Day: You must submit an application
to register to vote. Your application must be either
postmarked or received by your towns registrar of voters
by November 1. You may also register in person with your
registrar of voters by November 1.

On Election Day: You may be able to register on Election
Day if you are a new voter in the state of Connecticut
OR if you are currently registered in one town but youve
moved to another.
Please note that you will need to first go to your
designated Election Day Registration location, which
may not be the same as your polling location. Find your
Election Day registration location at bit.ly/CTEDR.

You can register at your municipal office, by mail, online,
or at your polling place on Election Day:

INFORMATION
If you are unable to be physically present at the
polls on Election Day, you may vote absentee.
How do I vote absentee?
You will need to complete an absentee ballot application
and return it to your municipal clerk. You can download
an absentee vote at bit.ly/CTabsentee.
Please note this is an application to receive an absentee
ballot, not the actual ballot itself. Learn more about how
