My name is Kruh Kwabena Isaac, I am 30 years old from Ghana.

I have for
the past Nine (9) years worked with the health service in the area of data
management, statistics, Bioinformatics and Monitoring/Evaluation. I started
working as a head of medical records/Informatics department in a district
hospital and subsequently the head of Health Informatics in the District
Health Directorate (DHMT). I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Public
Health (Health Education) and a Master of Science (MSc) and Diploma in
Health Informatics.
My duties included; to establish, manage and coordinate Health Information
systems, to provide quality data for the improvement in decision making, using
quality data driven focus approach. Initiate and lead the development and review
of guidelines and policies on Health Information. Develop appropriate statistical
models, methods and templates for analysis of data for decision making.

I am experienced in managing routine clinical and immunization data. I

supported the development of hospital administration management system
(HAMS Software) which was used and easily supported the management of
hospital administration in clinical and Human Resource data management. Also I
supported the use of the District Health Information Management System
Software (DHIMS 2) which enabled for a more efficient data management.

I have an interest in teaching health informatics and hence do that on part

time basis in a nursing training school and also support Health Informatics
students in their research, project work and practicum.

analysis,

teamwork

and

scientific

communication, use online data analysis software to analyze the

sequences of health inputs and outcomes. Carry out laboratory
techniques such as PCR, cloning, protein expression, protein
purification and protein localization studies. Locate, use and apply
commonly available bioinformatics software programs to address
biological problems. Finally to improve my knowledge in publishing
research papers that will improve learning in Bioinformatics.
