CITY OF CHICAGO

Chicago es conocida coloquialmente como la segunda ciudad o la

ciudad del viento; est situada en el Estado de Illinois en la orilla del
lago Michigan.
Su lema es: URBS IN HORTO (en latn: la ciudad en un jardn).
Chicago se caracteriza por ser un floreciente centro industrial, con
industrias de alimentacin, mecnica, electrnica, textil, qumica entre
otras.
Es un relevante centro cultural con una importante actividad editorial,
pero an ms porque tiene numerosas universidades, bibliotecas y
museos, sin olvidar su inigualable tradicin de msica jazz y blues.
La oferta educativa de esta ciudad es muy apetecible y presume de
tener dos de las universidades ms prestigiosas de EEUU y el mundo: la
Universidad de Chicago la cual tiene escuelas de prestigio mundial como
la university of Chicago Booth School of Business y la escuela de
economa de Chicago. Por otro lado la Universidad de Northwestern que
tiene la escuela de negocios Kellogg School of Management; entre otras
importantes universidades.
En cuanto al transporte podra decir que posee un excelente y
econmico servicio, contando con trenes y autobuses que conectan gran
parte de la ciudad.
Para llegar a chicago tendramos que hacer dos escalas. Partiramos de
Barranquilla a Bogot, de Bogot hacia Atlanta y de Atlanta a Chicago.
Nuestro tiquete de ida costara un milln seiscientos cincuenta y siete
mil pesos con la areo lnea Delta.
Para concluir creo que Chicago sera una excelente opcin y una gran
oportunidad para continuar mis estudios superiores.

Posee excelentes universidades donde podra estudiar.

Tiene compaas del Fortune 500 (quinientos) como Boeing, Kraft
Foods y McDonalds donde yo podra conseguir trabajo.
Y el viaje no es muy costoso.

Chicago is colloquially known as "the second city" or "the windy city"; it

is located in the State of Illinois on the shore of Lake Michigan.
Their motto is URBS IN HORTO (Latin: City in a garden).
Chicago is known for being a thriving industrial center, with food
industries, mechanics, electronics, textiles, chemicals and others.
It is an important cultural center with a valuable publishing activity, but
even more because it has numerous universities, libraries and museums,
not to mention its unique tradition of jazz and blues music.
The educational offerings of this city is very appealing and boasts two of
the most prestigious universities in the US and the world: the University
of Chicago which has schools worldwide prestige as the University Of
Chicago Booth School Of Business and the School of Economics Chicago.
On the other hand Northwestern University who has business school
Kellogg School of Management; among other major universities.
On transport you could say it has an excellent and affordable service,
with trains and buses connecting much of the city.
To get to Chicago would have to make two scales. We would leave
Barranquilla to Bogota, Bogota to Atlanta and Atlanta to Chicago. Our
ticket would cost one million six hundred fifty-seven thousand pesos with
Delta Air line.
In conclusion I think Chicago would be an excellent choice and a great
opportunity to continue my studies.
It has excellent universities where I can study.
Chicago has Fortune 500 companies (five hundred) as Boeing, Kraft
Foods and McDonald's where I can work.
The trip to Chicago is not very expensive.
