THE JUNGLE BOOK (2016) MOVIE

REVIEW

The remaking of a great Walt Disneys great and

spectacular animated musical movie from 1967,
based on the Kiplings tales about the man cub
named Mowgli the newcomer Neel Sethi, who
lived in Indian jungle with wolves since child. The
remake leaves the old fashioned animation and
brought into a new modern animation movie.
That time Mowgli finds he is no longer welcome in
the jungle when Idris Elba as the evil tiger Shere
Khan, who bears the scars of Man, promises to
eliminate what he sees as a threat. Urged to
abandon the only home he has ever known, Mowgli
going on a journey of self-discovery, guided by panther-turned-stern mentor Bagheera with
Ben Kingsley voices, and Bill Murray as an outstanding vocal turn as the notorious and freespirited bear Baloo. Along the way, Mowgli enters jungle creatures who don't exactly have
his best interests at heart, including Kaa plays by Scarlett Johansson as the a python whose
seductive voice and gaze hypnotizes the man-cub, and Christopher Walken is the voice of
King Louie the fire-hungry ape but very amusingly, who tries to force Mowgli into giving up
the secret to the frightening and deadly red flower: fire.
The Jungle Book movie blends live-action with photorealistic animals and environments,
using modern technology and storytelling techniques to aware the audiences in an enchanting
and lush world. The great quality of characterization also made it as a great movie, Favreau
as the director made a great way to blends comedy, drama and musical into one. Kaas screen
time could have been lengthened a bit and the ending should be more seen by people. After
all, professional camerawork and environment made it interesting, heartwarming and
enjoyable. Maybe we will see the teenager Mowgli has a girlfriend in several years? Im sure
we are waiting for it to happen.
