Design Brief

Problem Statement: We, as city planners, must design a plan for Houston that resolves
the conflicts produced by resettling up to 1 million refugees in a sustainable
environment.
Client: Red Cross
Target Consumer: Refugees
Design Statement: We must build a water filtration for the refugees and be able to justify
the use of our filter to them. We are to brainstorm, research, design, and test the water
filtrations and be able to produce drinkable water for the refugees.
Design Criteria:
Water filter must operate using chemical, physical, and biological means
Must go through a test trial followed by a redesign
Must be portable (drinkable) water
