Ozone Layer: Importance and Structure

The ozone layer protects the Earth from UV-B rays from space but is being damaged by human activities. It exists 12-30 miles above the Earth's surface. The troposphere, the lowest layer of the atmosphere, extends from 6-10km and is divided into the planetary boundary layer from the surface to 1-3km and the free atmosphere above. Professors Crutzen, Molina, and Rowland discovered that certain man-made chemicals were destroying the ozone layer.

Hello, Thanks for the Knowing About our Ozone Layer, now a days it is been damaged by Human
Activates. Ozone(03) layer protect as from UV-B rays from the outer space.

from the above surface of the earth
[Link] First layer or the lowest Region of the atmosphere from the earth surface at a hight of about
6-10Kms,the troposphere is just below the stratosphere, as the troposphere has be divided into two
parts. 1. Planetary boundary layer (PBL), has extending upward from the surface to a height that
ranges anywhere from 100mts to 3Kms, and even above it of the free atmosphere. The boundary
layer was directly influenced by the presence of the Earth's surface, which responding to such
forcing as frictional drag, solar heating, and evapotranspiration

rapidly and is steeper than left bank because of Coriolis force. In northern hemisphere, for a river
flowing from north to south the right bank is to west and river flowing from south to north the right
bank is to east.
