1. Civil Engineer Information.

According to Wikipedia and the ICE, a civil engineer is a person who practices civil engineering
the application of planning, designing, constructing, maintaining, and operating infrastructures
while protecting the public and environmental health, as well as improving existing
infrastructures that have been neglected. A civil engineer designs and supervises large
construction projects, including roads, buildings, airports, tunnels, dams, bridges, and systems
for water supply and sewage treatment. Originally, a civil engineer worked on public works
projects and was contrasted with the military engineer, who worked on armaments and defenses.
A civil engineer's tasks typically involve the following: analyze survey reports, maps, and other
data to plan projects; test soils to determine the adequacy and strength of foundations; test
building materials, such as concrete.

A/ $2.6 million was spent in the bridges project.
b) How many designers were necessary to hire for the bridges project?
A/ Two designers were hired for the bridges project.
c) In which year did the bridges project start?
A/ The bridges project started in 2012.
3. Evaluation.
I loved the visit to the construction area so much because it taught how a big project, the bridges
project, is done in a small town. The fact that impressed me a lot was the time that they have
working in that project because they want to conclude that project without errors. The engineer
was really nice to us and I liked the way he was encouraging us to be engineers. I was
disappointed because it began to rain and we were unable to see the tiny details of the
construction.
