Methodology:
The type of method used was Quantitative research. The Researcher used any
type of test . The researchers' goal is to find out the aim of this study. Basic
Demographic for the ( Interpersonal trauma or Clinical group).Young Schema
Questionnaire (YSQ), (PTSD checklist- Civilian Version), Symptoms Checklist-90 ( SLC90), Dissociative Experience Scale (DES) and Rosenberg self-esteem ( RSES) for the
Control group data.

All of the participants were female. 160 participants were considered in this study
that were divided into two groups. A Control group -78 participants and a included 82
outpatients who had experienced Interpersonal trauma or Clinical group.

Research Problem:
The hypothesis is that survivors of interpersonal trauma will present with elevated
Early maladaptive schemas scores compared to a non-clinical control group.

Findings:
It was found out that the participants respond in the control group got a higher
score to indicates more presence of maladaptive schemas. Items are organised in 15
subscales that the describe different EMS, and each schema subscale contains five
items. The disconnection and rejection domain is comprised relating to themes of
abandonment like (" I found myself clinging to people I'm close to, because I'm afraid

Reflective Questions:

1. How I am beginning to think differently ?

In the study, I think differently that the negative thinking leads to other
forms of psychopathology. Many children who witness the abuse of their mothers
demonstrate significant behavioural and/or emotional problems including , stuttering,
anxiety and fears, sleep disruption, excessive crying and problems at school.

2.What I want to explore further ?

3. Insights and Realization.

If I am in traumatic situations. I can feel totally helpless and passive. I can
cry for help or desperately wish for someone to intervene. I can feel
deeply threatened by separation from parents . Young children rely on a
"protective shield" provided by adults and older siblings to judge the
seriousness of danger and to ensure their safety and welfare. I often don't
recognize a traumatic danger until it happens. For example , "I used to sit in
our room and hear them fighting then I'd hear my mum scream and I'd know he'd
have hit her" I realized that My experience continues to affect my life all the

time. It continues to haunt every choice I choose. My trust was broken by

a person who I trusted . I have the most difficulty with their intense
physical and emotional reactions. I become really upset when
