5 volts from a single battery

Get from a simple battery to 1.5 volts stabilized 5V or 12V you can use for this
DC / DC converter on the chip LT1073 - DC-DC converter with adjustable output
or unregulated 5V, 12V. With it you can one get a standard AA batteries USB
voltage for powering and charging of mobile technology.

This chip is available in three different versions, depending on the output

voltage. Two and a fixed output voltage 5V and 12V, but this can be corrected.
Adjustment is made via a voltage divider with two resistors, which are connected
to the comparator voltage responsible for the stabilization of the output voltage.

The converter circuit is 5 volts 1.5

LT1073 - the perfect solution if you need to make a small DC / DC converter with
low operating voltage and current consumption without load.

The most crucial element for many inverters - throttle. If you do not have
inductance meter, then use some of the possible solutions ready. On the ferrite
ring from the burnt inverter energy-saving lamp shakes 7 turns of 0.3 mm.

Tantalum capacitor is recommended. The diode must be fast, it is not necessary

here to try to solder the usual 1N4002 rectifier, Schottky recommended, that are
characterized by high latency and low internal resistance, for example 1N5818
suitable for the inverter

Download documentation on the LT1073 can be here, there are very good
opportunities painted all chips and different modes of operation.
