D Pedal

D Pedal is a Pop accompaniment. I called it D Pedal because we

are using the D note on the 4th string as bass note throughout
the whole exercise. This technique is called pedal. Remember,
we are still working on bar chord, so take things step by step.
Form over speed.
The cross between the chords suggest that you hit the string
with the thumb to create a snare sound. In my book Acoustic
Steps, I call this technique Thumb Slap.
Right hand: This is a quite used classical arpeggio. It is
quite symmetrical so you shouldnt struggle with that.
Follow the fingers recommended.
Left hand: The chord progression goes like that: D minor,
G minor, D minor, D major (bar 9), G minor, A major, D
minor. I have ended the exercise with a lovely D minor
arpeggio.
Slat that string!

Goals
Improve right hand fluidity.
Gain left hand strength and muscle (work it out!)
