FACILITY TO YOUNG ENGINEERING GRADUATES FOR SUPERVISION OF CONSTRUCTION WORK
BEING EXECUTED BY FIRMS REGISTRED WITH PEC The Competent Authority has allowed/authorized young engineering graduates registered with PEC to supervise construction work being executed by construction firms registered with PEC in Category C-6 (limit Rs. 20 Million ) and Category C-5 (limit Rs 50 Million ). PEC will issue "Supervisory Certificate" to Engineers for ONE year "FREE OF COST" without charging any fee to encourage engineers to become entrepreneurs. This facility is offered only to Registered Engineer. Only Registered Engineer may apply for "Supervisory Certificate". An Engineer can apply for issuance of "Supervisory Certificate" for Category C-6 within THREE years after graduation from Engineering University. One Engineer may supervise construction work of maximum FOUR construction firms in C-6 category or THREE construction firms in C-5 category registered with PEC during one calendar year Two engineers may form a firm registered with Registrar of Firm. The firm may apply for "Supervisory Certificate" to supervise construction work of THREE firms in C-6 category or FIVE firms in C-5 category registered with PEC during one calendar year. Engineer holding "Supervisory Certificate" will not be allowed to supervise work of category other than C-6 & C-5 and exceed the number of construction firms as defined above, failing which their license will be cancelled. Special courses have been designed to develop engineers skills of entrepreneurship and supervising the construction project. PEC will offer special CPD and training courses to such engineers on regular basis to boost up their knowledge regarding responsibilities of good entrepreneur and basic principles of construction works supervision. 10."Supervisory Certificate" holder will undertake above special CPD and training courses within three months from issuance of license, failing which their license will be cancelled. 11. The monthly charges of supervision of contractors job will be the personal settlement of engineer(s) with the constructions firms. 12."Supervisory Certificate" holder will enter into agreement on judicial stamp paper of Rs 100/-(Rupees one hundred only) with construction firms in C-6 or C-5 category registered with PEC. Duly signed and notarized stamp paper will be submitted to PEC by construction firm of respective category while applying for renewal of their license.
