200 RUPIAH FOR PLASTIC BAG

Talk about new policy in Indonesia that now day we must pay 200 for plastic bag. Surely, there
are people that agree or disagree with the policy. It is true that plastic waste in Indonesia is the
one of the most plastic waste in the world. But in my opinion I am disagree with the policy if we
can reduce plastic by pay 200 rupiah for plastic bag, why? Because there are many reasons to
support me. The first, we all know that peoples in Indonesia notable as consumptive people so I
think just with 200 rupiah is not problem for them. Then, many food are packaged with plastic
that more thick than plastic bag we pay 200 rupiah. That plastics are more hard to melted than
plastic bag.
There are many people also have simple question about the policy Why the policy just for
consument not for factory that use plastic? (food, drink, etc.). Simple explanation if we buy 200
rupiah for one plastic and we know how much we pay that we buy a bundle of plastics, yeah
there are more expensive, so this policy just beneficial for the store. But also, its maybe to make
we think about that and we can reduce to use plastic bag.
In my opinion, the government can make or add some policy for the factory or store about
plastic. For example, use organic plastic that can melted by the time. Many store in Indonesia
have been used this plastic for plastic bag and I think if this policy can make reduce plastic waste
more effective. And for the factory can reduce plastic waste or make a package from plastic that
can reuse and recycle, certainly safe for consument.
