Ancient Egypt Class Project

Grade 7 | History |
Throughout term 3 in History, we will explore various aspects of
Ancient Egypt. As a class, we will eventually turn our classroom
into a tomb / museum decorating it with ancient artefacts that
you will create. Each student will work individually to choose
their own artefact to research and construct a model that will be
presented to the class as we tour our museum. Some possible
artefacts that you may choose could be: a pyramid, a mummy,
hieroglyphics, a sphinx, a sarcophagus, a pharaoh, one of the
Egyptian gods etc If you stumble upon something that you are
fascinated throughout the unit, you are encouraged to use that.
Get creative!
You will also be required to write a short statement, explaining
what your artefact is, why it was important to Ancient Egypt, and
what time period it could be found. You will orally present your
artefact to the class as we take a tour of the museum we have
created!
