Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan (Established under the Auspices of the Ministry of H.R.D., Govt. of India) Deemed University 56-57, Institutional Area, Janakpuri, New Delhi:-110058. ‘Accredited by NAAC with ‘8’ Grade Notification for award of Scholarship to students of Sanskrit Pathashalas/Mahavidyalayas/ Secondary/Higher Secondary School/Colleges/Universities during the year-2016-2017. 0} Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan (Deemed University), New Delhi invites applications in the prescribed form for award of merit Scholarship to:- The regular students who have passed the previous examination with Sanskrit/Pali/Prakrit as a compulsory/optional subject during the academic session 2015-2016 and pursuing higher course of studies with Sanskrit including Pali/Prakrit in any recognized traditional Pathshalas/Sanskrit universities & modern institutions/Secondary/Senior Secondary Schools from 9" to 12" standard and the levels of Shastri/Graduation/Acharya/Post Graduation/Vidyavaridhi/Ph.D. The details for grant of Scholarship are as under :~ S. | Courses of study for which | Eligibility Criteria Scholarship No._| Scholarship is given amount 1. However, the grants of Scholarship will depend on the marks secured in the previous class of study in the concerned subject and overall percentage, The Scholarship will be tenable for one Academic year i.e (10 months) starting from the 1° July and ending with 30" April. As Scholarship is awarded only for one academic year on the basis of marks obtained in the previous examination, students have to apply every year afresh. It will not be renewed automatically. The Scholarship for the Ph.D/Vidyavaridhi will be tenable for two full years i.e, 24 months subject to satisfactory progress report. The student shall send Utilization Certificate and progress report on the work done by the scholar through the Guide and Head of the Department, to enable the Sansthan to consider the Scholarship for the second year. The students of faculties of Arts or Humanities having Sanskrit as a Major/Minor subject will be eligible for scholarship in case of Graduation and Post Graduation level only. 5- Candidates applying for scholarship their application are must be countersigned by the following := ited schools should be forwarded by Director of Education State/district Educational Officer/Block Education Officer. Govt. Schools should be forwarded by the Principal of concerned Schools. Kendirya Vidyalaya should be forwarded by the Principal of concerned Schools. Govt. Colleges should be forwarded by the Principal of the College. Affiliated Colleges, it should be forwarded by the Registrar of the affiliating University. (vi) The affiliation from the Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, New Delhi, the application should be forwarded by the Principal of Vidyalaya/Mahavidyalaya/Adarsh Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya. 6- The Scholarship amount will be payable from the 1* July of every academic year. The amount will be released in the account of students directly through E-transfer and an intimation letter will be issued to the concerned institution/University/ Vidyalaya for information. 7. During this academic year, A candidate who receives any Scholarship or gets monetary benefits from any other institution will not be considered for Scholarship of the Sansthan under this Scheme. A candidate who accepts any remunerative job during the tenure of the Scholarship or undertakes to any other course of study which does not have component of Sanskrit will be disqualified from receiving this Scholarship. 8 The Sansthan reserves the right to make such changes in these terms and conditions as it may consider necessary. The Sansthan also reserves the right to reject any application after due scrutiny. The decision of the Sansthan in this regard will be final and binding. 9. Every student will be required to submit application from through the Competent Authority in the prescribed proforma indicating interalia :- (i) That he/she is pursuing a course of study for which he/she has applied for the Scholarship with Sanskrit/Pali/Prakrit as a regular student. (ii) That he/she is not in receipt of any other Scholarship or Stipend from any other source. (iii) That he/she is not employed anywhere. (iv) That during the currency of the Scholarship if he/she is awarded Scholarship from any other source and/or is employed he/she will immediately inform the Sansthan through proper channel. 10- Those students who (have) joined the MA after doing B.Ed./M.£d./M. Phil. In such cases, the marks obtained by the applicant in BA class will be taken into account provided; there is no gap in the study. It was also clarified that in case of Ph.D. scholars, the gap of not more than two years after M.A, can be allowed. 11-The candidates will be considered for scholarship if the student has under gone a course of not less than one year or two semesters in Sanskrit. 12- The marks obtained in Sanskrit as additional subject will also be considered for the purpose of scholarship. 13-The merit would be prepared by taking in to an account the overall grade/percentage plus grade/percentage obtained in Sanskrit. However for Sanskrit honours students, the grade/percentage obtained in Honours subject only will be taken for consideration. 14-The State in which the student/applicant is studying at the time of making the application, shall be the state which he/she belongs for the purpose of Scholarship. 15- For purpose of consideration for scholarship it should be mentioned that Sanskrit as a subject under MIL has to be made. 16-Copy of attested Aadhar Card/Voter Card/student Identity card issued by the School/College/University must be attached along with the scholarship application. 17-A student should apply for scholarship only once in the duration of the course. Application form will not be entertained - 1. The application for the scholarships should be made for the relevant year for which the Scholarship advertisement was issued. Applications received prior to advertisement shall be rejected. Application forms must be downloaded from Sansthans website. Application forms obtained from other sources will not be entertained which may certain old requirement may be rejected. 2. The relaxation in the required percentage to the S.C,, S.T. & OBC candidates will be given on furnishing of the caste certificate by the candidate in his/her own name from the designated authorities. The caste certificate in the name of parents or any family members of the applicant will not be entertained. 3- The applications for the scholarships must be forwarded by the authorities as under * Incase of school ~ Head Master/ Principal/Vice Principal as the case may be. * Incase of college- Principal or Vice Principal. * Incase of University — Registrar / Head of concerned department. The applications forwarded by any authorities other then the above will not be entertained. 4- The applicant must have obtained 60% marks or equivalent grade, and no rounding of marks will be allowed, 5- Scholarship will not be given for courses of less than one year duration. Document attached alongwith appl jon form :- Attested Photocopy of last exam passed. Attested Photocopy of certificate of physically challenged issued by Competent Authority. Attested photocopy of caste certificate which belongs (in his/her own name), Attested photocopy of bank passbook of the student (in his/her own name). Attested photocopy of admission/registration with joining letter of Ph.D student. Attested Photocopy of Aadhar Card/Voter Card/School Identity Card. Last date :- Application on the prescribed form should reach to the Registrar, Rashtriya Note :- Sansthan, Deemed University 56-57, Institutional Area, Janakpuri, New i - 110058 latest by 30.09.2016. Such, incomplete, submitted in old format, separately printed, received after due date, submitted before the date of this advertisement- applications will not be considered. Registrar
