Teenagers these days have become more violent than ever.
It seems like everyday
we hear about yet another high school shooting in which innocent people are bein g killed. In all this chaos we ask this: What causes these adolescents to rebel? Why did they resort to violence?, and why does it happen more now than it did w hen our parents were adolescents? If they are only teenagers and are already usi ng guns to resolve their problems, can we imagine them as adults? Just the thoug ht of it is frightening. I m sure we all remember the Columbine High school shooti ng that was so terrifying; the whole country was in shock. There have been many other incidents like these that have not gained much recognition. But why do the se teenagers rebel? Most teenagers, though, living in the midst of their battles, simply do not see an end to their parental conflicts. They are fighting to gain their independence and their parents' trust, they are struggling to be mature and adult - and noth ing seems to help. These teens are pleading for a chance to prove themselves.
