Job Description

Operations:
1. To plan, implement and monitor plant operations in conformity with sales plan and follow
up the progress to ensure that sales demand is met to the fullest level.
2. To operate the activities of the Plant within the agreed budget and standards. Ensure that all
operations are performed in the most economical manner and optimum conditions so that the
plant is able manufacture products at the optimum cost.
3. To coordinate activities amongst all the departments in the Plant in order to achieve plant
targets. All key processes are defined with KPIs (key performance indicators) to achieve the
planned results.
4. To regularly review and revise SOP (standard operating procedure) and ensure that all
activities are performed as per SOP.
5. Conceptualizing strategies & effective preventive & predictive maintenance scheduled of
equipments in order to increase uptime & reliability
Product Development &Quality Assurance:
1. Managing the entire cycle of product developments right from sourcing to sample
development
2. Ensuring proper cost analysis on expenses incurred on sample
3. Taking an update from R&D department for new product development.
4. To ensure that the quality of the products produced conform to the statutory / regulatory
requirements, company specified standards and any other specific requirements of customer.
5. To initiate implementation of pertinent Procedures and Instructions of the Quality
Management
System to ensure compliance to Quality Policy of the Organization and ensure that quality
objectives are met.
6. To take appropriate corrective action for all non-conformity and initiate corrective action
and preventive action to avoid recurrence relating to product, process and quality system.
Marketing & Sales:
1. Studying Market trend & analysis.

2. Exploring & developing new market base both national & international
3. Ensuring denim fabric gets nominated for orders from buying houses & brands
4. Ensuring a robust execution of export orders
Health & Safety

1. To ensure that Health and Safety (H&S) is given the top priority in all activities of the unit.
2. To ensure unit is in sync with environmental standards as per government & company
policies
Accounts, Finance & Commercial

1. To forecast & propose budget for the unit to SBU Head.


2. To Supervise & monitor all expense activities relating to the Plant.
3. To organize effective purchase policy relating to the unit. Ensure that the purchase policy is
defined, implemented and there is a proper vendor approval systems and approved vendor list
followed for all key raw materials.
4. To ensure efficient handling of materials in the Warehouse and stores and timely service to
the Production, Quality Control, Engineering, and Distribution.
5. To ensure proper recording and reconciliation of rejections and waste , arrange for suitable
storage and disposal of scrap.
Human Resources
1. Delegating work schedules for smooth functioning of operations & leading people working
at all level in an unit
2. Developing, Managing & monitoring the performance of multiskilled work force &
conceptualizing need based training programs for enhancing productivity & quality.
3. Maintaining cordial management & harmonious industrial relations; attending
interpersonal issues at work place
