ThistutorialisthesecondinaseriesofarticlesoncomponentcreationinNIMultisimand
NIUltiboard.
Part1,entitledCreatingaCustomComponentinNIMultisim

WizardtocreateacustomcomponentwithaschematicsymbolandSPICEsimulation
model.Inthispart,apredefineddatabasefootprint,orlandpattern,isassociatedwiththe

Thistutorial,Part2,outlineshowtocreateacustomUltiboardlandpatternforlayout.This
landpatterniscreatedmanuallysoastopreciselydefinetheshape,size,anddimensionsof
aSurfaceMountDevice(SMD).
NIMultisimandNIUltiboardareanintegrateddesignplatform.Thismeansthatthe
schematicsymbolinMultisimisassociatedwithanUltiboardlandpatternthatistransferred
tolayout.Thesetwotutorialsformacomplete,AtoZguideforcomponentcreation,fromthe
schematicsymbolandsimulationmodeltothefinalPCBlandpattern.
Thefollowingtutorialwilloutlinethestepstocreateacustom20pinSMDlandpatternthat

UltiboardandMultisimbothshareacommondatabasestructurewhichorganizesthevarious
