Immersion Program For Principal And Headmistress 2016

To ensure that the leadership of Principals and Headmasters in schools


Education Department Federal territory Kuala Lumpur, Quality Assurance
Sector was entrusted to formulate and implement Immersion Headmaster
and Headmistress. Principals and Headmasters experienced (Mentor)
elected as a manager of an organization that has its own expertise based
on existing experiences they have gone through all manage a school.
They can also become an escort friend and source of reference for
guidance profesionlisme school management through this program to the
new Headmaster and Headmistress (Mentee).
The new headmaster and Headmistress (Mentee) are in dire need of
guidance in the field of management education in school in hands on
because they need to have basic knowledge in handling resource
management including financial school.
in principle each appointed headmistress must have expertise in the
following competency 9;

Organization Management and leadership

2)

Curriculum management

3)

Affairs Management Students

4)

Curriculum Management

5)

Financial Management

6)

Office Administration Management

7)

Environmental management and physical facilities

8)

Human resource development management

9)

External relationship management

Objectives:
1. Strengthening the capacity of school leaders and Principals, especially
New Headmaster as implementer Ministry of education.
2. To produce excellent for instructional leaders among Principals and
teachers and acts as an agent of change.
3. Enhancing the professionalism of Principals and teachers in leadership
and management school.
4. Principals and Headmasters get ongoing coaching professionalism in 9
competency principalship to accelerate educational institutions.

5. Assist the Principal and the new Headmistress to be more confident in


the leadership and management.
6. to involve the headmaster and Headmistress actively in this
programme as one concerted effort towards excellence in school
management.

the implementation of Immersion for 6 weeks which involved 2 phases :


phase 1 began on 30 May to 17 June 2016 and phase 2 on 27 June to 15
July 2016.
The new Headmaster and Headmistress (Mentee) is also required to notify
any change of management practices at the school in the past five
months to the Headmaster and Headmistress (Mentor) who guide them in
Immersion Programs and also to the Director of Education Department
Federal territory of Kuala Lumpur using form 3. And Quality Assurance
Sector, JPWPKL going to new Headmistress (Mentee) for getting help after
Immersion Program beginning 1 August to 2 September 2016.
