PORTFOLIO PROTOCOL THE PORTFOLIO'S OBJECTIVES ARE TO ASIST THE STUDENT IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF: + SELF-REFLECTION - on the students’ abilities in the target language. AUTONOMY - developing initiative, becoming an active learner. ‘+ RESPONSIBILITY - students’ become responsible for their own learning, ‘* SELF-ASSESSSMENT - learning to identify their current level and their needs in the target language and then monitor and evaluate their progress. What is expected in the portfolio? + The most important aspect of the portfolio is its role in terms ofa ‘logbook’, which will keep a record of the student's personal work and progress in English. * Students are expected to select 2-3 personal objectives PER SEMESTER, to work towards achieving. (The student can do more if they have enough time, but this is the required minimum.) Since it is your portfolio, you can decorate it and present the information whichever way you like, however the following information must be included so that the marking can be consistent. Reflection: Some of the listenings were difficult since they mention all the information in the multiple choice answers and itis difficult to identify the correct answer. Moreover they speak very fast. But once I did the gap-fill exercise I was able to understand all the information as I can see the script. I think that am starting to identify different accents like American and British.
