As a group we have managed to go to Magaka and Sons Hair Saloon and Babershop wher we
were looking at how the Hairdresser and Barber produce their products( haircuts). So we
have assessed how the customer is treated and also does he/she like the final product of their
hair style. We have seen that there is good communication between the Barber and customer ,
so as to produce the required product .
The task for the Barber was to produce a plain cut for the customer. We observed the process
and we recorded it in the the form of a process chart . it took the barber 15 minutes to
produce the product which was due to the clogging of the teeth of the blade and there were
not really in good shape. A normal time to produce a plain cut with a serviced Hair clipper is
10 minutes. We have concluded that in order to do the job in a more efficient and faster way
the Barber must service the blade of the hair clipper frequently. The product was of best
quality the only problem was with the time.
