    Hospitals are complex building and their electrical system is complex too.

    In a
    hospital we divide the whole area into 5 categories.

    Support services
    Ambulance & Diagnostic.
    Emergency
    Special Medical locations.
    Life Support

    Following are the Codes that you need to follow while designing the electrical
    systems of the hospital building
    1- NFPA 70(chapter 517 specifically)
    2- NFPA 99
    3- NFPA 110
    Beside that there are a number of local standards that you need to follow.
