REPUBLIC ACT NO. 10068 "Organic Agriculture Act of 2010"
AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE DEVELOPMENT AND PROMOTION OF ORGANIC
AGRICULTURE IN THE PHILIPPINES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
To promote, propagate, develop further and implement the practice of organic agriculture
in the Philippines that will cumulatively condition and enrich the fertility of the soil,
increase farm productivity, reduce pollution and destruction of the environment, prevent
the depletion of natural resources, further protect the health of farmers, consumers, and
the general public, and save on imported farm inputs. Towards this end, a comprehensive
program for the promotion of community-based organic agriculture systems which include,
among others, farmer-produced purely organic fertilizers such as compost, pesticides and
other farm inputs, together with a nationwide educational and promotional campaign for
their use and processing as well as adoption of organic agriculture system as a viable
alternative shall be undertaken.
REPUBLIC ACT NO. 10533 Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013
AN ACT ENHANCING THE PHILIPPINE BASIC EDUCATION SYSTEM BY STRENGTHENING ITS
CURRICULUM AND INCREASING THE NUMBER OF YEARS FOR BASIC EDUCATION,
APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
Act establish to maintain and support a complete, adequate, and integrated system of
education relevant to the needs of the people, the country and society-at-large.
The K to 12 Program covers Kindergarten and 12 years of basic education (six years of
primary education, four years of Junior High School, and two years of Senior High School
[SHS]) to provide sufficient time for mastery of concepts and skills, develop lifelong
learners, and prepare graduates for tertiary education, middle-level skills development,
employment, and entrepreneurship.

AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE CONTROL AND ELIMINATION OF HUMAN AND ANIMAL
RABIES, PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF AND APPROPRIATING
FUNDS THEREFOR
Rabies is viral disease that transmitted by animals, most commonly by a bite from an
infected animal. It causes inflammation of the brain in warm-blooded animals. Rabies
is almost fatal if not administered prior to the onset of severe symptoms. The rabies virus
attacked the central nervous system, instantly causing disease in the brain and result
death. Like many other illnesses the early symptoms of rabies in people are of, including
fever, headache, and general weakness or discomfort. When the disease progresses, more
specific symptoms appear and like the following insomnia, anxiety, confusion, slight or
partial paralysis, excitation, hallucinations, agitation, hypersalivation increase in saliva,
difficulty swallowing, and fear of water. Death usually occurs within days of the onset of

these
symptoms.
To control and eliminate of human and animal rabies the Senate and the House of
Representatives of the Philippines enacted REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9482 also known as AntiRabies Act of 2007

The State shall establish, maintain and support a complete, adequate, and integrated system
of education relevant to the needs of the people, the country and society-at-large.
Likewise, it is hereby declared the policy of the State that every graduate of basic education
shall be an empowered individual who has learned, through a program that is rooted on
sound educational principles and geared towards excellence, the foundations for learning
throughout life, the competence to engage in work and be productive, the ability to coexist in
fruitful harmony with local and global communities, the capability to engage in autonomous,
creative, and critical thinking, and the capacity and willingness to transform others and
ones self.

For this purpose, the State shall create a functional basic education system that will develop
productive and responsible citizens equipped with the essential competencies, skills and
values for both life-long learning and employment.

To protect and promote the right to health of the people. Towards this end, a system for the
control, prevention of the spread, and eventual eradication of human and animal Rabies
shall be provided and the need for responsible pet ownership established.
