PRESET FOLDER
Installing Lightroom Presets is as simple as copying the
new presets into Lightrooms Preset folder. Whether
you are on a Mac or PC, nding the preset folder is
simple :
a. Open Lightroom

BACKUP YOUR
EXISTING PRESETS
Before you install new presets, we always recommend
backing up your existing presets. If you dont have existing presets, then skip to step 3.
a. Double click Lightroom to enter the Lightroom
preset folder.

b. Open Lightroom Preferences

MAC - Use the shortcut CMD + ,
PC - Use the shortcut CTRL + ,

c. Click the Presets tab

d. Press Show Lightroom Presets Folder

COPY IN THE
NEW PRESETS
Once your existing presets are backed up, simply install
the Lightroom Preset System (or new presets) by dragging and dropping the folders in your download, into
the folder on your computer as shown below :
a. Copy or drag and drop your downloaded presets
into the Lightroom Preset Folder that we opened in
Step 1.

b. Copy or drag and drop the following 3 folders to

your Desktop (or other location of your choosing) for
backup :
Develop Presets
Export Presets
Local Adjustment Presets

MAC USERS: You will be prompted to replace existing

folders which will ERASE all presets within the Develop
Export and Local Adjustment Presets folders. If you have
existing presets that you wish to keep, prior to installing,
please be sure to backup your existing presets as shown
in Step 2.

leave this box unchecked so you can see all

of your presets in every Lightroom catalog.

After pressing the Show Lightroom Presets Folder

button you should see your le system display the
Lightroom presets folder on your computer. If you have
existing presets installed, go to Step 2 to backup those
presets, otherwise go directly to Step 3.
UPGRADE NOTE : If you already have a prior version of
the Lightroom Preset System, installing a new version
will create duplicate presets. After backing up your
presets, delete these 3 folders prior to installing the new
Lightroom Preset System.

b. Once the presets have been copied into the

Lightroom Preset Folder on your computer, simply
close and then re-open Lightroom and the presets
should appear! Viola!
