Invention of scissors

First scissors were

invented in 1500 BC in
Egypt. They were made
with one piece of metal, it
is called the spring
scissors.
Most of people do not use
this kind of scissors any
more.

Scissors Robert
Hinchliffe invented.

In 100 AD, first cross blade

scissors were invented in
Rome.
They were made with silver,
bronze, or iron.
Scissors were not common in
use until 17th century
In 1761 Robert Hinchliffe
from London invented the
first steel scissors.

Plastic handled scissors

In 1967 Fiskars
introduced the first
plastic handled scissors.
This allowed more
spread of cross brade
scissors in to the world,
and made the main
design of scissors we
are using now.
