SCWA launches No Plastic Policy

On July 1, 2016, Shalom Crest Wizard Academy (SCWA) with the help of the
Science department headed by Sir Jinnifer Arroyo, fully implemented the No Plastic
Policy around the school campus with the purpose of environmental awareness,
responsibility, and consciousness among students to help aid the problems of Global
warming.

In line with this program, not only students, but also the participation of teachers
are required. All must cooperate in the plastic segregation and recycling through the
PET bottles, new trash bins, and recycling projects. The role of the teachers are to
follow up the implementation and to monitor the surveillance of projects.

When asked about what Sir Jinnifer Arroyo has observed, he said that plastic
bottles and cellophanes are now hardly seen on different areas. In addition, he also said
that through the No Plastic Policy, students will be developed not just on academic
excellence, but on environmental purposes. He is hopeful that each individual will
cooperate in doing the tasks without thinking of them as a burden and will feel the
satisfaction once done. Every year, the program will be intensified, Arroyo added. #
