Tom Mulcare
Tom has dedicated his life to the public. Tom started his career working with Quebecs civil service to help
thousands of people. Tom then became Quebecs environmental minister where he introduced groundbreaking
legislation. After Jack Laytons passing Tom became the NDP candidate.

Issues
Environment
The NDP will fight the to protect environment of Canada. We will also introduce a national
cap and trade system.

Multiculturalism
The NDP will carefully select new immigrants to Canada and will make Canada a welcoming
place for refuges and immigrants. We will take in 10,000 Syrian refugees immediately and
9,000 every year afterwards
Children and child care
The NDP will introduce affordable child care for all Canadians. There will be one million
daycare spaces and for only 15 dollars a day.
Justice/Human rights
Maintenance and expansion of human rights and civil rights, including: Gender
equality, equal rights for LGBTQA citizens, rights for people with physical and mental
disabilities, Workers rights, and Aboriginals, treaty, land, and constitutional rights.
National Defense
We would replace the aging cf-18 jets and create an effective shipbuilding strategy for
Canadas military.
