SD Antenna Series Assembly Instructions

Inside the box you will find these five pre-assembled pieces plus mounting
hardware.
1. Two active elements
2. Two non-active elements
3. Boom assembly
(Please refer to the pictures at the end of this document to identify these
parts)

DO NOT MOVE THE ELEMENT MOUNTS ON THE BOOM!

DOING SO WILL UNTUNE THE ANTENNA!
1. After unpacking the antenna, identify the non-active elements. These
elements ARE NOT numbered and DO NOT have tuning straps attached
to them.
2. Locate the element mounts on the boom.
3. Insert the non-active elements in to the element mount slots that ARE
NOT numbered.
4. Tighten the bolts and the lock nuts.
5. Locate the active elements. These elements ARE numbered and have
tuning straps attached to them.
6. Insert the active elements into the element mount slots with the
corresponding numbers, making sure the numbers are lined up.
7. Tighten the bolts and the lock nuts.
8. Identify the feed point, and then remove the top nut and washer.
9. Identify the tuning straps, then gently rotate them inward and attach
them to the feed point.
10. Place the washer and nut back on the feed point and tighten the nut.

Must be mounted with the feed point facing up!

Installing a 2 bay system (SD2 Series)

The antennas must be mounted wavelengths apart. To determine this
you divide 984 by the frequency of your antenna, it will equal one
wavelength. Now divide the wavelength by four, this gives you a
wavelength. Next multiply the wavelength by three, this give you the
wavelength in feet. Total gain of a two bay system will be zero dBd or
call Signal Delivery Systems for assistance.
