One of the most popular historical places in Peru is El convent de Santa Catalina, it is a religious place in the city of Arequipa. The exact location is downtown of this city. It is a really famous because everybody talks about that and it is an old built construction. The convent of Santa Catalina was built in 1579 by nineteen priests from Spain, it was like a gift from them to the city. Currently it is s a museum where you walk on and you are going to find many fault because it is an old construction. By the way, when you stay there , you are going to walk a lot because is big and it looks like a maze, in some areas you will feel lost there , but dont worry because there are many people in site. This place depicts who old Arequipa is, because most of contractions there are like this museum; the convent of Santa Catalina give tourist many services, for example: Walk at night there, make events on site, make parties on day, etc. I recommend this place because you feel comfortable, relaxing and feel free; I think that is a special place from people there; on the other hand, it is really beautiful and peaceful.
