REFLECTION PAPER

Folk Dancing is a traditional dance of an indigenous

society showing cultural characteristics of a specific
people at a given time and place. In this subject which is
the Philippine Folk Dancing, I learned a lot of things from
the beginning of the class until the coming end. To know

the background of a certain folk dance is really a

wonderful experience. Because I learned how to
appreciate things which is behind of being a Filipino. Each
dance I have encountered in this class has different
backgrounds and beauty. From the start of the class, I
have a feeling of being excited of our lesson and
everything about Folk Dancing. I may not be as good as a
dancer do, but I have the feeling of being ready to portray
such kind of folk dance.
I also learned how to interpret dance steps from the
reading material and then put it into actual. I really did
not regret of taking this subject for this really helps me to
become a better and effective teacher someday.
As I learned to interpret things by reading, I discover
that through this kind of activity, it will develop courage,
patience, love, relationship to friends and especially to be
a prayerful one.
I really thanked God for giving me this opportunity to
learn new things from this subject by the help of my
loving teacher Asst. Prof. Evangeline Pomoy. Shes the
one who molded me how to become a effective and
better teacher. How to be dependent always to God, for If
God is not with you, things will not be possible.
