https://www.google.co.uk/webhp?sourceid=chromeinstant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=what+is+a+director

production is flowing smoothly.

A director has to be loud, clear thinking, strong minded and good
at being in charge.

focus on the cameras.
https://www.google.co.uk/webhp?sourceid=chromeinstant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=a+cameraman%27s+job+definition

Which part of the studio do they work in? (ie control room, studio
floor)
A camera person works on studio floor because thats where the
production is filmed and they need to make sure everything is
going right with all the cameras.

What skills do they need to do their job well?

The have to be very on the ball, attentive, and quick thinking in case
anything goes wrong for example a camera running out of battery.
Sound Mixing

Describe their job - Reference your research

A sound mixer is a device which takes two or more audio
signals, mixes them together and provides one or more output signals. ... As
well as combining signals, mixers allow you to adjust levels,
enhance sound with equalization and effects, create monitor feeds, record
various mixes, etc.
https://www.google.co.uk/webhp?sourceid=chromeinstant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=what+is+a+sound+mixer

Which part of the studio do they work in? (ie control room, studio floor)
They work in the control room as this is where the sound controls are
they have to be in a place where they can concentrate and will not
get distracted by anything such as cameras, or the production itself.

A sound mixer needs to be concentrated and focused so that they
can get the timing exactly correct and can really listen to check
nothing is going wrong.

A lighting desk is the place where someone controls all the lights within the
studio in order to get every lighting aspect perfect.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lighting_control_console
Which part of the studio do they work in? (ie control room, studio floor)
Most lighting people work in the studio floor otherwise they wouldn't be able to see whats
going on. It means they know exactly what to do and a lot of the time they will follow a
script so that they know what is coming up next e.g if someone in shot is about to move
they know to follow them with the lighting.
What skills do they need to do their job well?
The person controlling the lighting needs to be aware, alert, and focused so that they do
not get distracted by any other possible distractions such as camera issues because if the
lighting does not follow along with the people in shot as they move or as things happen
then it will ruin the production.

Floor Manager
Describe their job - Reference your research
A floor manager is someone who works on the floor of the studio to check everything is
running smoothly.
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/floor+manager
Which part of the studio do they work in? (ie control room, studio floor)
The floor manager works on the studio floor so that they can check everything is going
right and can make any adjustments if need be.

What skills do they need to do their job well?

A floor manager needs to be very concentrated, strict, reliable and good at decision
making, because if anything needs to be changed they have to decide on what to do.

Lighting Information:

Solutions:

Overhead lighting is available as well as

a ring light which could be used.

Sound Information:
As it is a studio there is no background
noise

Solutions:
There is a possibility someone can walk in
to the studio so we would lock the door
to avoid distractions.

Power Information

Solutions:

Plug sockets are available as we are

inside

Hazards
Tripping over wires
Hot lights

Solutions:
I would keep the wires out of the way
and make everyone aware that they are
on the floor
With hot lights I would put a sign up so
that everyone knows not to touch them
and only put one person in charge of
them.
