Smithsonian Museum Exhibit

SCENARIO: You are an expert on the Age of Exploration and was hired by The
Smithsonian Museum. You are participating in an exhibit entitled Explorers
Alive! that will be performed at your local museum. This exhibit will feature
live wax figures that intermingle with the audience. The figures will represent
those individuals who were influential in shaping early America.
You must create a 1-minute script to be recited during the exhibit. Additionally,
you must complete a 5 paragraph research essay on your figure. While 3
paragraphs are to be research on your figure, the last 2 paragraphs must include
how exploration and motivation are relevant in your daily life and what personal
experiences you have had involving exploration.
You will be supplied with attire that reflects the character you are portraying at the
exhibit. The local museum curator as well as other third grade classes will be
coming in to view the live exhibit.
