Pharaoh Headdress

Make this wearable paper pharaoh headdress while

learning about ancient Egypt.

Materials

A4 or Letter size printable cardstock

Crayons or any water-based paint (e.g. poster
paint, tempera, acrylic paint)

Scissors

Glue

Paint brush

Steps

Color or paint the template.

Look at the pair of identical side template pieces.

You don't need to color or paint the area above the
dotted lines on these templates.

Cut out the three template pieces.

Cut a pair of slits following the dotted lines at the

lower corners of the main headdress.

Take one of the side template pieces and apply glue

on the entire area above the dotted line.

Lift up the flap on one corner of the main headdress.

Position the side template piece under the flap. The
dotted line on the side template should be aligned
with the lower edge of the headdress flap.

Press down on the flap to fix the side template in

place.

Repeat Steps 6 to 8 to attach the other side template

piece.

1 Cut out a long strip of construction paper long

enough to go around your head. Glue one end onto
the excess strip on the headdress.

Glue the other end of the strip on the opposite side

to create a band that fits on your head. You may
paint this band if you like.

Try on your grand Pharaoh headdress!
