HW1 Elevator Pitch and Resume

Review the supplemental Elevator Pitch slide deck on Blackboard as well as the
sample resumes posted on the career center (CPDC) website.
Elevator Pitch:
1.) List 3-5 experiences you have had that you would like to highlight based upon
the Elevator Pitch slide deck (posted on Blackboard). Give a short 1-2
sentence description of each.
2.) Using your response to Question 2, answer the question, Tell me a little
about yourself in 30-90 seconds. Practice your response in front of a mirror
until you are comfortable with it. Be aware of any hand or face gestures as
well as eye contact. Now record your response in an audio or video clip.
Upload this to Blackboard. Note, your video will only be used for grading
purposes and to give feedback. The video will not be shared with anyone who
is not an instructor for the class.
3.) Listen to your elevator pitch. What do you think you did well and what do you
think you need to improve upon?
Resume:
1.) Based on the sample resumes, make a resume for yourself that would be
appropriate at the TOC. Upload a copy of it to Blackboard. Again, your resume
will only be used for grading purposes and to give feedback. It will not be
shared with anyone who is not an instructor for the class.
