Ebenezer Pennell This Indenture made the 31st day of October in the year of our Lord one
To thousand Eight hundred and thirty five Between Ebenezer Pennell and
Calvin C. Parks Caroline his wife of Plymouth Wayne County and Terr[itory] of Michigan of
the first part and Calvin C. Parks of Oakland County & Territory of aforesaid of the second part
witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred
Dollars money of account of the United States to them in hand paid by the said party of the second part
the receipt whereof is hereby confessed and acknowledged hath granted bargained sold remised
released and by these presents doth grant bargain sell remise release and forever quit claim unto the
said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns forever all that certain parcel of Land situate in
the village of Auburn Being part of west half & Northwest quarter of section thirty six 36 Township
Three North of Range Ten East as follows beginning at a post Standing on the South boundary of
Main street so called in said village of Auburn ninety links South thirty three degrees forty
minutes west of a post standing at the North boundary of said quarter section and also in the
center of the street running South thence South on the west boundary of said Street two chains &
nineteen links to a post thence west five chains and fifteen links to a post Standing on the East
boundary of the mill pond Thence North seventeen degrees East along the border of said mill
pond two chains and twenty Eight links to a post on the South boundary of the first mentioned
street thence East along said street four chains and fifty links to the place of beginning containing
one acre and nine rods of Land be the same more or less

Together with all and singular the hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise
appertaining and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and profits thereof
and all the Estate right title interest claim or demand whatsoever of the said parties of the first part either
in Law or Equity of in and to the above bargained premises with the said hereditaments and
appurtenances. To have and to hold the said premises with the appurtenances unto the said party of the
second part to his heirs and assigns to the sole and only purpose use benefit and behoof of the said party
of the second part his heirs and assigns forever In witness whereof the party of the first part hath
hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written Signed sealed & delivered in the

Ebenezer Pennell and Caroline his wife persons known to me to be the same that signed the within and
being by me examined personally acknowledged that they signed the within for the purposes therein
expressed & the said Caroline Being by me examined separately and apart from her said husband
acknowledged that she signed the same of her own free will & accord without any fear or compulsion
