Why do you want to join Prep Team?

(max 250 words)

Ans.) Prep Team for me represents a highly motivated group of people who have
taken up the responsibility to facilitate the Place Com in keeping the flag of MDI
flying high. The responsibility is immense as it is entrusted to guide and advice
the incoming batch who have myriads of doubts, misconceptions, and hence
face a number of issues regarding the summer internship process. Having faced
the process and being fortunate to have bagged the internship in the initial days
itself, I got the opportunity to help some of my friends stay motivated till the
end.
Being a part of the Prep Team would give me an opportunity to make effective
use of my time and devote it to an immensely productive task. I believe I can
help people find a solution to their problems owing to my good listening skills
and I am ready to put in earnest efforts to do full justice if entrusted with the
responsibility whether it is for the upcoming senior batch final placements or the
next years summer placements whether it is assisting the Place Com, preparing
cheat sheets, conducting GD/PI, contacting Alumni for their support, or elucidate
issues which someone is facing.

Are there any Ideas/Suggestions you wish to execute as a part of

the Prep Team?
(max 300 words)

Ans.) The Senior Prep Team has been extremely helpful during the whole
summer process and have done a tremendous job to help prepare the junior
batch for what was probably the most demanding time for all of us. There is

always a scope of improvement or doing things differently, so I think the

following could be incorporated:
Cheat sheets prepared by the Prep Team were not really read by the
students even though they were sent well in time. I think an effective
method to resolve this would be to ask any random person in the
audience something from the cheat sheet. This would ensure that
everyone goes through the cheat sheet and for all practical
purposes would definitely improve the engagement level during
incendos/PPTs as well as the quality of question which all of us
know is so very important.
A lot of misconceptions had been floating around in the batch for which
the resolution came a tad late when an informal session by the Prep
Team. As informed by seniors, this was something unique to 2016 batch
but I guess to quell this issue, a form could be shared with the whole
batch to post a question which would be answered by the Prep
Team or a senior and be viewed by everyone. I believe it would
create a FAQs of sorts and help the batch.
A simple 1 page form wherein the parameters for a GD/PI are
mentioned in the form of a checklist as well as agreed upon
questions can be prepared which would be required by the student to
carry to each GD/PI by Prep Team so as to keep a record and clearly
help the student know where he needs to put in more efforts and
what needs to be capitalized on.
